I am A Dad Now

This is my 200th diary post, hence I decided to write something special. And the special thing happened with me in last few days that I have become a dad...

I never realize how much joy and happiness my little angel can bring in our life with her arrival. I read somewhere that a man learns what it means to be a father from his own father, it's not until the birth of his baby that he starts the most important journey of his lifetime of building a relationship with his new baby.

Last year when we came to know that my wife is expecting, we felt so happy, we have shared this news with our nears & dears and we started feeling to be more caring and responsible, specially me towards my wife...I have started taking special care of my better half and try to be with her as long as possible. After a 3-4 months we left Indore and shifted to Chennai where we had some good time for around 2 and a half months. Then my wife went to her mom's home and we all awaited for the big day.

I went to Mumbai in 1st week on August for my wife's delivery as I wish to be with her in that period and at last that big day came on August 4th when we are blessed with a cute little angel at 7:10 PM. The 4-6 hours of waiting for operation were like 4-6 months for us, but When I have seen my little angel in the hands of doctors assistance I was simply amazed, I deadly needed somebody to pinch me at that time as I was stuck to see my daughter first time, pink colored doll crying in a loud voice. She just gave us a single look of my angel and went back to operation theater. Then we got her in our room after a long long wait of an hour. My wife was unconscious for 2-3 hours and she was suggested to take full bed rest. We were not prepared for the delivery on that day so we started buying necessary things and bringing other things from home.

I couldn't sleep on the first night, taking care of my baby by giving some Dextrose mixed water with a dropper. The next was surely a dull day for me but I was filled with new strength and emotions. Everybody asking me to take some rest but I was not feeling sleepy. The next day was excellent, I kept her watching for the whole day and then came night. We have called the hospital staff so many times and kept them busy even for a small thing that they started coming to our room without any work, just asking us for any issue. We have become very friendly with the staff during our stay that compel them to say that they will be surely missing our family at least for some time.

The bundle of happiness and joy came to our life, I have shared the good news with almost every contact in my mobile on the same day and received the blessings from all.

Now she is 21 days old and I am listening her voice on phone and watching her on web cam only as I am back to my work in Chennai.

Our life has changed drastically, our every conversation starts with the talks about our cute doll and ends with her only. I use to inquire about her each and every activity during the whole day. Now I have become a father, I use to ask my mom and dad about the important things to take care. I am feeling more responsible and serious towards my family.

Now I am eagerly waiting for the time when we live together and enjoy each and every moment with our cute angel. My wife is still in Mumbai and she will be coming to Chennai only after Deewali so that together we alone can take proper care of our child.
