What all will a person go through to reach their home for a major festival?
I just travelled 500 km in a pathetic excuse for a bus holed up in it for 14 hours!! And the reason why I had to take a bus?? Top Gun! I swear it is Top Gun. Overnight drooling over Tom Cruise till early morning numbed my brain and I forgot that I had to wake up early to book my tickets as soon as Tatkal (emergency) reservation opened. By the time I woke up every single train, flight and decent bus to my hometown was booked. And I had to take this pile of rust on 4 wheels.
Finally after hours and hours of gazing out of the window and shivering in the cold I reached my home. The deliriously happy greeting I received from Richie (our foolish dog whose knees will knock together in fear if he comes across a centipede :D ) compensated for all that agony.
Home sweet home after 6 months. :)
