Few days back while walking onside the road I noticed a dog near the bus stop. While I had some time to kill while I was waiting for the bus. I was caught by eyes to this dog. He was lying down under a tea shop made of wood having some space below where this dog was lying in deep sleep. Looking properly I noticed flies all around him disturbing his sleep. Time to time he had to wag his tail to keep them away from him. All sudden I saw him wake up from his deep sleep and just ate one of them which was flying around his mouth. And he went to sleep again.
Next day I went to the stop he was still there but this time awake and was looking all around.Then I saw him walking to a vendor shop selling lemon juice. The shop owner was not present at that time and the shop was unaccompanied. I saw him went to the shop. Had him mouth put in the plastic bag and drew a plastic glass cup(which was being used by this shop owner to serve the customers with lemon juice) and took it to his place where he rested, and no one even noticed.It became my best way to look at him when so ever I was at the stop waiting for the bus.
Now the story of the last day when I went at the stop it was evening time with sun almost down the horizon.I saw a crowd of some people at the same shop where this dog used to be sit. And then I saw the crowd chasing a dog. And what shocked me was this was the same dog I have been looking at the bus stop. I began thinking about "why they are chasing him?" Looking closely I found blood all around him mouth and that didn't made any sense to me.
I trying to make logic though some he might have been in a dog fight with another dog. Then I noticed him falling down at times while standing and walking too. As if he was losing his consciousness. I saw more people joining the crowd. And the dog was barking and running from them. At the same moment I made another logic by looking at a women holding her child and people around him- that dog has bitten the child and now people are chasing his for that. But later it came to be as a false logic.
People came with a sack and threw on his head. Losing sight in that sack the dog started to panic and running everywhere. People on the bus stop got scared too with sudden sight of this dog in sack running at them. I got confirmed that these people are gonna kill him. But after a few moment of wait while I was heading to the crowd to know the reason they were chasing him.I found they caught him and sealed him mouth with tape. Closed him eyes with a cloth and made him calm down. I saw them putting him in a municipality vehicle and the vehicle went.
At last I asked the tea shop about the dog and he told me that the dog has hit himself with a iron rod which felt on his head while getting inside the same shop which had same space below it and where the dog used to sit. And due to excess bleeding he was prone to death.So, these people cared for this stray dog and took him for medication.
For me, this was a great story to feel that humanity still exists and this incident brought a smile on my face.
