I recently got my car tires (Santro 2004, 50,000 KM, 155/70) changed to Good year Duraplus. I find myself in a position to write a review on it as I have now done 1500 Kms with new tires. You will find a significant difference in driving pleasure immediately after new tires are installed, all of a sudden the noise will reduce and the car starts running so smooth as it was new. I was using Bridgestone which was factory fitted with the car which has done 50K successfully. I never faced any problems with them as well, but it is obvious to have a high noise when they have done 50K.
Duraplus gives you a very plush drive and comfortable handling with a good grip. This is the only tire which comes with anti carbon and kevelr, a bullet proof material, and commits 1,00,000 Km of running life. Since this is a new launch from good year, it is difficult to comment on tires running for 1,00,000 Kms.
Availability of tires is a problem as not all the dealers have it, I had to travel 40 kms to reach an authorized retail shop to buy them. Since I made up my mind to buy Duraplus, I did not settle for suggestions/recommendations made by dealers who tried deviating me from my choice. I finally got them installed from Capital Tires in Yusuf Sarai (Delhi).
If you want to get the tubeless tires installed for your car, you might find dealers who will offer you converting tube tire to tubeless and with a discount as well. Don't fall for discount and get the tires which have "TUBELESS" embossed on them. You might be able to save few bucks by converting tube tires to tubeless but in long run you will regret as the technology used in manufacturing is completely different and it can't be converted the way dealers sell it.
