I had a very interesting conversation with an MSian last day. What all he / she had to convey was
a) You dont have the habit to visit other's post and comment
b) You dont have the courtesy to return gifts
c) You dont believe in the principle of "give" and "take". Hence what ever you write will never get noticed
I was asking myself, what am I looking for? Getting noticed is no longer a driving force. I love to read and leave without noise. I might leave comments or assign rate when it is absolutely necessary. Also, return gifts, I am lazy. So, I am at risk. But that's alright. I am happy this way. I am sure this is not an offesive path.
If I start commenting, exchange gifts etc. it is going to be another huge engaging exercise which I may not be able to manage. But having said so, everyone got their own ways and means.
Also I am practising the art of being restraint. I remember the quote "All men's miseries derive from not being able to sit quietly in a room alone"
I am sure, this applies to women also. Being quiet is not an easy task (especially for someone like me). But, when you do something really different like this (which is not a self destructive exercise), that is a life time experience.
So, enjoying the care free life in virtual space without commitments and keeping myself too much engaged with real world. Let me see how it turns out to be.
