God is widely believed to be the creator of life & curator of the universe. Religious sects say that there is only ONE God, who created Man in his own form. Fair enough! But who created Woman? How about the four legged beings? May be his loneliness made him super creativity. Anyway, popular belief is that God is our Father. If that is true, won’t he look just like us? Two Eyes, Ears, Nostrils, One Head & of course the obvious that needs no mention. Our earthly fathers run from pillar to post to make ends meet. So, how does our Heavenly Father effectively govern us in spite of receiving so many queries, wishes, requests? Did he outsource his job? I think He smartly delegated the responsibilities to his Sons & Daughters, empowering them to manage themselves. When a King’s son is a King, What else could the progeny of God be?
I see GOD as an abbreviation of GOoDness. Certain degree of Goodness dwells within each one of us & it is realized through Prayer. Prayer is a misunderstood concept. It is a practice that fine tunes our concentration. We unknowingly tell ourselves our needs & indirectly motivate ourselves to accomplish them. This accomplishment is nothing but BLESSING. Even pan handlers pray, but most of them live handling pans forever. Why are they not blessed? May be they don’t know how to bless themselves.
Is God an immortal management guru? Or is he a superhero created by some comic writer long long ago? Or was he an ancient superstar whom people started worshiping like Rajanikanth & Sachin Tendulkar of today? We never know, 2000 years from now both of them could be Gods. An answer is also immaterial as the world is already divided & burning. But one thing is for sure, God certainly is a Chinese Whisper that has gone horribly wrong
