The juggernaut moved at full steam, it had to; there was no looking back. The nuts and screws tightened – Target sighted – Ammo loaded and directed – it was only that the Red ‘GO’ Button had to be pressed to launch it. Yes, and the launch did happen.
This time some Mouth Shuttians and some Face Bookers got together around the launch of PANCHAGNI - A compilation of Hindi poetry of 5 upcoming poets. One amongst them being Aarambh Singh (aka Monoo or Manjeet, as we all know him too). He has a great fan following on both forums and other echelons too.
Since Life rolls on…..despite speed – breakers; Opposing winds; Catastrophic disasters; Terror strikes; Amalgamated vision; Positive thoughts and …it had to roll on, yet again!!
The Red Button on the amplifier – mixer of the console was hit and Aarini screamed…..
“Guys !! Please put the phones on silent mode. He He…..as if we were going to listen to her order. She started by introducing the book and took up a poetry to be recited……..this moment was magical, where myself and I could see all others began to switch off their mobiles as if hynotised by the wonderful first read itself.
That was the power of Poetry, Well Done, Aarrambh Singh. You begun well !!!
Each one had a go at the Open Mike to speak about anything from their works or from their heart. There were some really good sports, who belted fantastic RD and SD numbers, then a couple of Ghazals set the mood. Some Fun moments were thrown in by the PUNjabis in the cult…as is their wont, they would not change for anything!!!
The Place : Café Zaffiro @ Zaza, 25 – 26 Community Centre, Zamrudpur, New Delhi – 110048 was the launch site.

The Ammo was some splendid Whole Wheat Bread Sandwiches, a Delightful Home - made Walnut and Date Cake, Lots of Tongue tingling Lemonade and poetry to revolve around….hosted by Aarini.
The 3rd floor Art Gallery of the Chic Life style and Home Décor store(Zaza) with French windows opening into a smartly done terrace was an apt choice.
Truly a mesmerizing evening that culminated with Shalu, Harish and Moi having a small session on MS interactions, deliberating about how FB was taking over MSians due to instant reverts on their posts, Nuances of obnoxious DPs, Porn Fotos and the menace, Some Fake IDs and spoke about the new MSians who are doing a real good job in the recent times. We discussed about the intelligent comments that came from smart and educated members and a lot of value and charm was returning back to the forum.
Generous Shalu, wearing a masterly cK on her wrist did not once look into it, but my gaze was fixed, as I know Delhi aint so safe a place after all, but she was confident that she can have her way. She hosted a round of snacks and beverages. Awesomely warm and friendly, very hospitable, and I am sure this shall mark the beginning of another long association of friends for life.
