Vikas Bahl's Queen emerged triumphant at the 60th Filmfare Awards with six wins - best film, best director, best actress for its lead star Kangana Ranaut, best editing to Abhijit Kokate and Anurag Kashyap, best cinematography(Bobby Singh and Siddharth Diwan) and and best background score to Amit Trivedi.


Haider followed closely with five wins, three from major category - Shahid Kapoor in the best actor category and best supporting honours for Tabu and Kay Kay Menon, and Dolly Ahluwalia winning best costume designer and Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray topping the best production design list.


Veteran actress Kamini Kaushal was the recipient of the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.


While Kangana was the popular choice, young star Alia Bhatt bagged the best actress(Critics) trophy for Highway and Sanjay Mishra won the best actor(Critics) for his outstanding performance in Ankhon Dekhi. Director-writer Rajat Kapoor won the best story for Ankhon Dekhi.


The best debutante awards went to Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan for Khoobsurat and Kriti Sanon for Heropanti in the male and female categories respectively.


However, only two wins were credited to the Aamir Khan starrer PK - Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi in the best screenplay and best dialogue categories.


The music category saw Ankit Tiwari win best male playback singer for Galiyaan from Ek Villain and Kanika Kapoor named best female playback singer for Baby Doll from Ragini MMS 2. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy received best music director for their work in 2 States. Best lyrics honour went to Rashmi Singh for Muskurane from CityLights.


Jumme Ki Raat from Kick won Ahmed Khan the best choreography.
