It's always been the dream of almost every living person , to look and feel FIT. But today's hectic lifestyle demands a lot from us ,leaving almost no space for Fitness.
Hi I'm Anil. I was always a chubby since a kid and always used that as an umbrella to masquerade till my 30th year ,blaming my genes and busy lifestyle. Always hated full size mirrors . And then came that day when during a routine medical checkup , the Dr said ." Dude you better run before life outruns you"
I had high blood pressure and was almost a 135 kgs . That's OBESE . That day I walked back home all worried and ended up binging on junk food which used to make me feel better..
But somewhere deep in my heart I knew it was wrong and a certain doom if I continued to go down the same path. So it was a choice, a painful life or a healthy one.
I decided I wanted to live better .
Started with eating smaller portions and started taking the stairs to my office and at home too. A 20 min walk in the evening.
After a month I felt better and was weighing 3 kgs less. Well but I was still 127 kgs and it was huge. I started maintaining a log of what I ate and what I did ,like my walk or stair climbing.
Made my diet chart (Google was there to help):)
And started hitting the community Gym
I'm sharing a sample diet chart of my first 4 weeks.
Breakfast : Banana and Oats
Post Gym : One apple or a glass of milk
Lunch : 1 Chapati with whatever vegetable was
made and a bowl of Dal
Evening : 5-6 Almonds and 1-2 Dates
Dinner : 1 Chapati with Salad and Curd.
Salad we can add paneer for protein.
Whenever I felt hungry or craved for food I nibbled on pomegranate or Oranges .
Daily 30 mins of light weights workout and 15 mins of walk in the evening.
By the end of the month of had lost 10 kgs
Most of which was due to water retention .
Low carbs and low fat diet helped me a lot for the rest dof.my journey.
So in 12 weeks I had lost 34 kgs .
Now I'm still in the process of loosing more weight and gaining lean muscle.
Let me tell you. It ain't easy ,but ain't tough either.
But the results are worth it.
