FAITH –A CURING FACTOR

Hi Friends

I was going through the contents of my Timeline to find out what was new on my page./, Jitendra is one of my favourites at my Timeline and so before replying to the comments onmy Posts I search and locate the posta and then his comments on other’s post.. I first write my comments n his post ( but in case of posts on Movies and actors I ponder few minutes before recording my comments. I do not see movies as those are not to my taste , For this reason I miss writing my comments on Fenil’s Posts though I like him very much among the young members)So when I read comments of dear Jitendra on Dr.Tom’ post FAITH ON TREATING CANCER , I could not stop myself from reading the above post. But my misfortune that Dr, Thomas had updated his post and the contents are still not released by MS team ( I pray this is done at an earliest) .

Having read about faith as a cure for Cancer I recollected a case of Tuberculosis.

The case was reported in Indian Express Newspaper about three decades back . A farmer from Haryana was suffering from tuberculosis. He was admitted in Wellington Hospital , Delhi. The patient was placed under the care and treatment of a very famous physician (I am sorry I can not recover the name of the patient and the physician). The T.B.Expert examined the patient. He prescribed few medicines. The patient was advised to take 4hourly doses. The physician left after telling the patient that he would come and examine him next week.

The able physician came on his weekly round.

He reached the patient’s bed and asked about as to how was he feeling. The patient replied ”I am fine”. The patient was examined by the doctor. His chest was examined. About cough the patient told that there was no cough and he could sleep without disturbing others by his cough. The doctor asked the patient to present his prescription slip. There was none with the patient. The doctor was annoyed and again asked for the prescription slip.

The patient said : Doctor Sahib, kya aap us kagaz ki baat ker rahe hojis per aapney meri dawa likhi thi?”

(The patient enquired of the doctor whether he was referring to the slip of paper on which he had written themedicines)The doctor said “yea” The patient said:” aapney kaha tha ki main iski khurak 4-4 ghante per loon. Isliye maine us kagaz ke tukde is hisab se ker liye jis se aap ke aaney tak main dawa le sakoon” ( As you had directed me to take that medicine 4 hourly so I tore the paper in equal parts so as to last till the time of the visit of the doctor). The doctor found that the condition of the patient ha improved considerably. He was discharged after a week with instructions to regularly take the medicine that were written on the paper and not to eat the paper.

I may have missed some details to make it too accurate reporting of this case but the case is a real one and the newspaper had headlines:“CAN FAITH CURE T.B.?”

This is how faith works even in lethal diseases.

I hope this will go a long way in helping my friends who always are frustrated and always complained of one or the other sickness,

SMILE PLEASE.

DEDICATED To DR. THOMAS
