Exhaust fan for kitchen

By: Binshu | Posted Jun 07, 2016 | General | 155 Views

Hi seeking your input

My refrigerator compressor is emitting excessive heat radiating in to the small kitchen and its difficult for us to work in the small kitchen with this added heat source.(LG says compressor is OK)

I have installed a 3" PVC suction pipe with the open end close to the compressor and run it vertically up, with one 90 deg bend and terminated it on to the wall(6 meter length with 1 bend, all 3") made a 6" hole in the wall and installed an exhaust fan on outside of the wall with 6" sweep 1300 rpm 40 watts. However I feel the air throw is very poor and there is no substantial reduction in temp effect inside the kitchen.

I am looking for alternative solution to to remove the excessive heat(at least during the cooking hours). As an option I plan to place the exhaust fan near the compressor, use a reducer from 6" to 3" and route the air through the 3" PVC and check for the air flow at the wall end. may be eventually turning to 6" pipe.(There is no scope for installing an open exhaust fan in the kitchen as its having cabinets around with  separate hob and hood)

Have you faced similar issues? Do you have any recommendations for me on this?

Regards

Binshu
