EXPERIENCED AND WISEST COUNSELOR

By: Monica8185 Verified Member MouthShut Verified Member | Posted Sep 08, 2017 | Words of Wisdom | 321 Views | (Updated Sep 09, 2017 11:56 AM)

Mmmm! I’m just thinking what I should be writing about, where I should start and how to start. Well, when I was pondering over these questions. I just felt for a moment that, why not start writing about anything. But, that cannot be the case, because rambling on without a point would be an utter waste of time. Time is precious! Yes, it is and so I thought why not share with you all, about how time is so precious in so many ways.

We need to understand time, learn as we understand and make best use of the time. By doing so each one us will be able to learn and gain certain amount of knowledge, which over a period of time becomes our experiences. These experiences make us wise.

TIME is one great teacher and a wisest counselor in our life. Delmore Schwartz rightly says “Time is the school in which we learn,…”. It is very much true that the Time teach us so many things in our lives in unique ways. It is up to us to learn these lessons.

From our young age we are trained to plan and do work on time. We set time limit to study, play, work, rest and even, to achieve short-term or long-term goals. We set time frame for everything we do. If each one of us were never trained in doing our work in a specific time frame, we could end up not achieving anything. We might become lazy, unwise and do lousy work.

I would nudge my dearest readers to make sincere effort in “Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.”(Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield). So my dearest readers value your time and use it wisely. Because “time is the most valuable thing a man can spend”(Theophrastus).

I would like to quote two people who once said "You can't make up for lost time……”(Ashley Ormon) and “regret for wasted time is more wasted time”(Mason Cooley) . So, as individuals we need to be responsible enough not to waste time in an unwanted and lousy way. Because lost time is lost forever and we cannot get those precious times.

I wish each one of us are humble and wise enough to consider Time as precious, valuable and wisest counselor. If by doing so we can learn and gain knowledge more than what we may think. And our lives would be much happier and better every minute. Because in the journey called Life, we do not have return ticket. So, every minute is precious and every experience gained is valuable.

“We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right.” - Nelson Mandela
