Dominique Dunne was an American actress who lived from November 23rd, 1959 till November 4th, 1982. She appeared in several made for television movies, numerous tv series, and one major feature film called "Poltergeist."
Her parents were film producer/writer Dominick Dunne and Ellen "Lenny" Griffin. Her two older brothers are Alex and film producer/director Griffin Dunne. She belonged to a well to do family who surrounded her with immense love, support, and encouragement.
She demonstrated great potential and talent in her short lived acting career. She had a promising future and would have definitely achieved astounding possibilities, if fate had allowed. Tragically, her life was taken too soon.
I have written this poem in her everlasting memory for the kind and gentle soul she was. She was just 22 years old and continues to leave behind an extraordinary legacy:

You would have been an amazing star.
You would have made it incredibly far.
Your tragic fate arrived on a cold October night.
But I know you didn't go down without a strong fight.
Your eyes always glowed radiant and bright.
Your smile reflected such a gorgeous sight.
The love in your heart would flow like a gentle stream.
You lived your life graciously with many hopes and dreams.
I often wonder if you had stayed,
how would you have been today?
Would you have found an affectionate soul?
Someone you could share your world with and grow old?
Would you have had children
as mesmerizing as you?
Would they have followed in your footsteps
and cherished everything you would do?
Would your acting career have taken Hollywood
by storm?
Would viewers and critics alike watch in awe as you
would perform?
You were definitely one of a kind
and truly unique.
You will always be the unforgettable
and angelicDominique.
Please note: May her soul rest in peace. It saddens me that so many people in this world have exceptional potential and could do unbelievable things with their lives. But due to unforeseen circumstances, they are not given the chance. So cherish each day like it's the last because we don't know what will happen tomorrow.
