We have 2 basic door security systems installed in our appartment complex in chennai. For the first year things were great. But after one year, the Security system started to give problems. It was not possible to open the door even after keying the pin. In some cases, the door would never open. We raised a complaint with the local dealer (Orgin Security systems, Anna nagar, chennai). They attended one or two service calls. After that there is no response from them. Frustrated we sent an email to 'service@albaurmet.com' explaining our case. There was no response from Alba Urmet either. We even approached other Urmet dealers in chennai, they didn't even have a clue on what was the problem or how the system was wired :(. These door security systems were installed by the builder and we even tried to approach the dealer through them. Then also Alba Urmet dealer didn't give any response. Our appartment security is compromised due to this. Its ultimately the users (like us) of such door security systems that suffer. In my opinion its better not to have any such security systems in the first place. Anyway after a year its not going to work and no one would be supporting the system. So guys never ever opt for such security systems in your appartment complex. If you have any other questions just email me. I would be happy give more information.
