Dear Mumbai Mirror, hire a headline editor?

While the nation was celebrating PV Sindhu and her achievements, Mumbai Mirror chose to act like padoswali auntie by choosing to fabricate what was said. The news agency forgot to stop editing and skipped manners to post a derogatory statement about the Olympic hero.

In her interview with MM, coach Pullela Gopichand's wife PVV Lakshmi, also a badminton player who represented India in 1996 Olympics and now runs the badminton academy in Hyderabad with her husband, said, "Sindhu has what I didn't have back then - my husband as coach". The quote was very conveniently edited by Mumbai Mirror to create a sensational headline and sound downright cheap that read, "PV Sindhu has what I didn't have - my husband". A English newspaper needs lessons on English.

Gross is how they plan to sell the article. In the name of a click bait headline, the newspaper may lose its credibility.

Dear Mumbai Mirror, please stick to reporting as is and hire a headline editor if required. Do not try to step into spotlight by tarnishing someone's reputation. A newspaper that is read by millions comes with its share of responsibilities. Please be in your boundaries.
