Cruze CFT 5050 fire Treadmill

I bought this treadmill last year (Sept 2012) for residential use. I paid about INR 50000 for it which was slightly over my budget. However, the salesman at Jogger's Park, MG Road, New Delhi convinced me citing good motor, custom modes, buttons on handlebar and good feedback from existing customers. I tried it and found it to be satisfactory. Experience till April 2013 was good with some problems discovered. The treadmill worked fine with no noise and I had no major concerns. Sometimes I did wish I had gone for a slightly bigger model as running area is a bit narrow. Some issues which I found out after I started using were: - Treadmill stops immediately on power cut. If you are running, this is very risky. I think when power is cut, it should switch to a mode where at least 2 rotations of belt happen. - There is no pause button. If you want to stop for some time to take a phone call or bio break, you need to either stop the machine or slow it down manually. On return, you need to go back manually to speed and incline setting you were on. A pause mode would be good where it stops slowly, but goes back (again slowly) to whichever settings you were on earlier. - Program modes are not customizable at all. So if you want to use a program mode where all settings are good but incline is a little bit less, you cannot manually adjust incline. If you don't want to use program modes then all settings have to be done manually. Program modes are also useful for interval training, but again, with no customization possible, these come with take it or leave it settings. In May 2013, a major issue developed. The machine started creaking and became sluggish. We called the store (Jogger's Park) who asked to address all concerns to the customer support. Customer support is very difficult to reach. There is just a mobile number which is mostly switched off or unreachable and has strict timings - 10-5pm on weekdays only. After trying for a week, we gave up as we were going to be out of town on vacation. After returning, we found the noise problem had worsened. Again, we started trying the customer support number. After a week, we were able to register a complaint. The service rep took another week to turn up. He said the noise and sluggishness would go after servicing. After servicing the machine was definitely smoother. However, noise was still there. The service rep said it would reduce a little bit after some usage, but some noise will always be there. We argued with him on why noise should be there now when there was none earlier, but he had just this standard answer - it is there in all machines and increases with age. We were surprised that he was calling the machine old when it was still under warranty and less than a year old. We tried calling customer support in front of him but again, it was switched off. He said he had no other number for customer support. Its been two weeks after the servicing and the creaking noise has gotten even worse. Our son complains of the noise while studying in another room while doors of both rooms are closed (not adjoining rooms)! we have been calling customer support for the past week with no success. At times it rings for some time and then somebody switches it off afterwards. Once it was picked up but the lady at the other end said wrong number once we asked her if it was Cruze customer support.. Lesson learnt: Do not buy anything from such non/low branded manufacturers, and avoid Jogger's Park in future. Call customer support number before buying to see if there are issues in contacting. Not recommended.
