One of my earliest memories are of an unpleasant incident, where I saw my dignified father getting abused by a lowly govt servant from the electricity department in front of me. The rascal had cut the electricity supply to my house fully aware that many young children from our colony were busy preparing for their HSC exams. My father's only fault was that he had refused to pay a bribe.
Then during my Graduation Exams, I remember the college peons merrily collecting bribes to help the students during the practical exams. Those who were not in their good books, ofcourse their equipment never worked.
Now my anger reached a boiling stage, when I recently came across the suffering of an tottering old woman, who was weeping because her husband had died, her only earning son working in the Railways was killed in a train accident & the other son was mentally handicapped. Her house was usurped by a goon.
