Chennai MS meet.True reason for not publishing in

By: livehappy | Posted May 10, 2009 | General | 1003 Views | (Updated May 10, 2009 12:12 PM)

I sent a bulletin about publication of an article in Times Of India and published my DP also a day before publication. Within a few mts of posting one of my TCs commented with his usual friendly criticism. After few mts, I received a call from TOI that they received a call from somebody that the article should not be published. Hence the article was removed and TOI started investigating, as they earlier published about the meet and also sent one of their editors to attend the meet. We had good inter action with Press. So I removed my DP.

Finally they found that it was a fake call. Its really regretted that we have some fake MSians in MS. I had official permission about Press meet and received gifts from MS support team. I quote below what was supposed to be published in TOI:

"If you’re a gadget freak with an opinion or just someone with a social leaning, there are people who need your help. And, here’s a forum that reaches out to them over the Internet? This group started as an online community on mouthshut.comand has extended its reach by taking up social causes.Benjamin Ross, better known as Ross Uncle, an active member of this group of MSians says, “Our aim is to take all the expertise that we have and make it available on a common platform so that it benefits the public. We have people from all walks of life who write about products, services or any subject that may interest them. There is always someone who can make use of another person’s experiences.”Gokulavan Jayaraman, a designer by profession, chips in, “MSians have reviewed things, many of which have gone out of people’s memory. This platform provides people with a wealth of information that can be dug into at any point of time.” Gokul has gone a step ahead by using his skills as a designer to create pictures with social messages. Umesh is a member of the group who has been a saviour for many accident victims. “When an accident occurs on a highway, there’s usually no one to come to the rescue. I have encountered many such situations and have stepped in to help. I took these incidents to the web and wrote about it extensively. Now, MSians are under a pledge to help the public at any instance, even if it means answering questions from police,” says Umesh.Gokul adds, “All of us have a variety of experiences everyday. If we are served extremely well at a particular restaurant, merely writing an appreciative note at the restaurant’s guestbook is not sufficient. When we put it on the web, more people can read it and avail that service.” The group writes about little-known facts ranging from consumer rights to tackling complicated legal issues. The group writes about little-known facts ranging from consumer rights to tackling complicated legal issues in advisory capacity. Mazhar Nawaz spearheads a movement against Drinking and Driving, with the Internet as a backbone, NGO and his fellow MSians’ support. (He is also involving celebrities from various walk of life)Ross was one who gained by the legal expertise of a fellow MSian when confronted with a legal wrangle with an online shopping and auction site. He says, “Often, everyone don’t know the loopholes that legal issues have. When I posted my problem, I got suggestions that helped me resolve the issue in my favour.”The group meets on a need-basis. If there’s a cause that needs to be addressed, MSians promise to be there to support cause. So, here’s a dynamic group that’s got its ears are pricked to pick up any murmur from the neighbourhood."

The real fact..will post more photos with TOI proof later after receiving comments!

(Due to unavoidable circumstances I am unable to publish the real reason..wait and see it will be published.....after getting permission, I will post the reason..thanks...)
