Carrier Residential Split ACs unsatisfactory after sales services

By: arvi_chauhan | Posted Dec 03, 2012 | General | 266 Views

Carrier split ACs, three in numbers, were purchased by me in April 2012. All three ACs are of inverter technology, X Power Gold, two of them are 1 ton each and third is of 1.5 ton.

First issue was that installation was not done as per standards and as mentioned in your user manual booklet which you deliver alongwith the AC units. I am saying not as per standards because during installation your engineers have crossed the copper pipe and drain pipe of the indoor unit through the wall hole, means both have been completely stretched, and connected through the external piping to the outdoor unit. So, now the indoor unit can’t be moved even by a millimeter if required for repairing purpose or for getting the wall painted after few years. For that the wall need to be broken from the point where the pipes are crossing the wall. This problem is with the installation of all three ACs.

Second issue was regarding the not proper cooling by one of the 1 ton AC. Your engineer visited and told that as the piping route for this unit is long so it requires gas top up. Dealer from whom I purchased the ACs told me that he does not have expertise with handling of R410 gas, so he will not be able to help me out regarding this and asked me lodge the complaint for same. I lodged the complaint (17557) on 25th August 2012. Since then I have been following your customer care executives, Ghaziabad area service head and even talked to people at Head Quarter (Gurgaon). But till date the issue is not resolved.

I understand that yours is a good name in commercial area but if you have launched products for residential customers also then please do provide them the after sales services at par with your commercial customers. Otherwise please don’t sell your products to the residential customers.
