Bye Bye -Separation Email Circa 2006 AD

The seven year itch as I deem my association with the finest organization in terms of its rapid fire growth akin to the forest fires that rage in the twinkling of an eye and spread in a jiffy, comes to an end today, the day of 2006

It is with a heavy heart, a light pocket, a bludgeoning sense of pressure, a diminishing sense of self rRajeev_Vermact for my work that I strive for a greener pasture where the prospects will be better than the ones over here, and where peace of mind would not be so much at a premium.

I have enjoyed my work throughout my 2500 days in this organization, with bouts of frustration creeping in, dollops of recognition eluding my performances with the lamest of excuses hovering around, but talent will out even if it’s deemed latent.

I have tried my level best and my best level to keep the org’s flag flying high at all times and with scant rRajeev_Vermact for my personal life, and my unmarried status and half finished Jamnalal Bajaj MBA degree ,doesn’t form part of the proof.

I haven’t been to Esselworld, but then the roller coaster over here was much more enjoyable, for my patience was tested to the hilt.

I have enjoyed the company of one of the greatest minds on display interspersed with one of the most lopsided ones to affect my progress and with due rRajeev_Vermact to all.

The frenetic speed of work coupled with the daring hours have instilled faith in me that things will only get better from here.

I have been guilty of scathing emails to my peers and superiors alike in my aggressive mould of recriminations and I beg your pardon for the same, but these were levelled at the circumstances and not at the people at the receiving end.

I have an AM-II grade to show for my 7 years of patient garnering amidst bludgeoning chaos from the time we set shop for Credit and Debit Cards way back in 1999 and when the first card was hit on Jan 6 ,2000 to this date of 5 million plus cardholders year 2006.

MBAs ,CAs even Engineers have formed talent pools but I have swerved not from my goals even though recognition never reared its pleasant head and demotivation formed daily fodder amidst a shameless drive of visibility across the floor.

I thank all of you wonderful people who have been responsible in shaping my life in some way or the other with your varied reflections.

I will sign off with following quote:

Good leaders make people feel that they're at the very heart of things, not at the periphery. Everyone feels that he or she makes a difference to the success of the organization. When that happens people feel centered and that gives their work meaning.~Warren Bennis~

All the best to you all.
