Be it any era of Indian cinema, controversies and gossips pertaining to our B-town natives had always been a point of fascination for majority of cine buffs.
At times these gossips provide an impetus to a film's cause, but some times, they do almost nothing for its future and end up being merely a publicity stunt.

1. Slapgate
It was SRK-Shirish altercation, that kick started the gossip motor of Bollywood in 2012 when a verbal teasing took an ugly turn at the success bash of Agneepath, where SRK ended up slapping estranged friend Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder.
Though the issue was resolved amicably after the intervention of Sajid Nadiadwala, Sajid Khan and Sanjay Dutt, but even then it provided ample substance to journo's to garnish their tabloid delights.
2. SRK-Priyanka affair
Contrary to his image, SRK's name for the first time in his career got allegedly dragged in a romantic affair with our very own Pee Cee.
Buzz even suggest that when reports about SRK and PC's proximity started surfacing, Gauri very well apprised Shah Rukh about her 'Zero tolerance' for all such not so pleasing stuff.
3. K.Jo Slammed Priyanka
As soon as the controversy pertaining to SRK-Priyanka affair started taking an ugly shape, one of the friends of PC came to her rescue, but ultimately ended up further catalyzing the ongoing disaster.
Post which, Gauri's best pals K.Jo took to his micro-blogging site to vent out his anger and thrashed, once good friend Priyanka. Karan tweeted :
'Using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind so called 'friends' to get news into tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame!! Some people need to wake up and smell the KOFFEE!!!
4. Ajay - YRF Tiff
Nobody would have ever imagined, that Ajay who is known as one of the most composed native of tinsel town will ever get involved in any showbiz tug of war.
But in 2012 this also happened, when Ajay slammed Yas Raj Films with a legal notice, for violating the competitive norms and unfairly using their dominant position in the industry and putting pressure on the exhibitors to give prominence to their upcoming film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan over Devgn's Son of Sardar.
5. Saif's Punch-Nama
While going for a quiet dinner with his friends at Wasabi restaurant in the Hotel Taj, Saiffu Miya wouldn't have realized that, on his way back it will no longer be a low key affair.
On his way back from Wasabi, Saif and his friends ended up having a scuffle with a South African national of Indian origin, Iqbal Sharma. By the end of which, Iqbal had a swollen nose and Saif landed up in legal soup with a torn shirt.
Again a buzz-jackpot for gossip spinners...
6. Sherlyn On Playboy Cover
In 2012, Sherlyn thoroughly proved that it's only she who is going to govern the gossip aisles this year. And the buzz about this sizzling dame, which took maximum rounds of gossip arena was about her Playboy stint.
To be the part of adult magazine's photo shoot Sherlyn landed at LA and even stayed at the mansion of Playboy patron Hugh Hefner.
7. Sunny's Debut
Though Sunny couldn't succeed in making it that big as it was apprehended, but undoubtedly Sunny's debut was one of the most awaited one of the year which thoroughly shook the gossip arena.
But the buzz pertaining to Sunny that literally took everyone by surprise was, when she demanded the medical reports of co-star Randeep Hooda and Arunoday, in order to prevent the transmission of any kind sexually transmitted diseases.
8. Aishwarya’s weight gain
Bollywood's most sought after Bahurani, Ash's pregnancy wouldn't have fetched that much of hype as her post pregnancy weight gain did.
When Ash was packing her baggage to make it to Cannes film festival, critics were busy slamming her for being over-weight and not being able to shed it even after months post her delivery.
Infact it won't be wrong to say that, at one point of time Ash's weight gain issue looked even bigger than an issue of national relevance.
