Beware of customers who think a Designers,Contracters are just to give free of drawings on what ever they demand at no cost .

We have been engaged to do a Farm House Independent Villa(Eco friendly). They have begin seeing our episode for almost 4 years and when they wanted to renovate their Bunglow the so called customer called us. When we went and had a look and gave an approximate estimation felt it was expensive on spending amount on old house so they asked to design new house from scarch An token Advance was paid of 5000/-. Fine we coordinated every week from day one and the house turned to his expectations and finally estimations in detail is been given . Changes of estimations were given as per his requirments .
Infact we were stuck on payment shedule,Since on his basis every month 5 lakhs shall be given on completeion of work,we said thats not the way the payment can be made as per progress of work and some advances to be made to complete the project on time .We had made a deatail graph of project report along with detail drawings,Even stuctural colums, Soil testing, Deatail estimation was all done and fianlly we were abut to sign he said we shall hold the project as he was in dual mind of school or any other house . well we said fine this all took almost 9 months of time,So I told him I need 3 lakhs for paper work,ground work etc and amount shall be adjusted on signning of deal .
Well all of a sudden he said I have copied the layout,Elevation and the figures seems to high after we working for 9 whole month this is the comment, almost every week saturday meeting,twice site visits, On festival one year back on Sankranthi showing a model house. and after work ing so much he asks his total money back .
We told him we shall not pay any money as three times the project was put on hold. And uncessary blames started.
Well thinking all this We said we shall work on what ever designs he reqiure we shall do( As we think Customer is always God) Again I called his father spoke to him and told him we are reputed Firm and we would like to settle for good instead his father started using Vulgar language and started thretning us on phone .Still we politely asked him to come to our office and speak to each other as even the whole team shall take care of his needs,But matter went on Internet,and theatning that we have cheated and odd .
I am still in Positive no one can just take any one for a round.I shall submit all evidences and with his own words saying the house is coming as per our dream.
We he says it is contractors and designer duty to go to said site till they give them the work,Infact beg for work and it is the clients wish when ever he feels he shall give the work.
Many contractors before has been suffered by this client and payments were not made at the end.
So this experience has left us know to deal with other customers carefully,Hope this is to let all designer to be aware of taking contracts,consultancy .
