The unprofessional management of BEST buses in MUMBAI.
I travel by BEST buses from my childhood and was satisfied by there service.But recently I had a very nasty experience with them. I bought a MAGIC pass of BEST having validity 3 months as I have to travel a lot in mumbai, and buying magic pass was worth, I paid approximately rs 1535 for the pass and got it in 5 days. For 1 month I used the pass. and in 2 month 1 week I lost my magic pass. I approached at BANDRA depot for the issue of new pass , as I was having the receipt which had pass serial number, they also had my name and photo in there database. when I asked them to reissue me the new pass. they directed me to some person DALVI in Bandra depot, when I told him what had happened, he told me that if pass is lost , BEST has no further rules for reissuing a new pass. I told him that I have 2 months validity left ,what about that.He told me apply for a new pass and again paying rs 1535 . Means previous 2 months money they took in there pocket. I want to ask the BEST management ,if there are no rules to reissue the pass ,then y to introduce such things ,which y don't have provisions .And u call it a smart card system ,bull shit!! . IF u issue such Magic pass ,the pass should contain all information ,so to issue a new pass ,in case of loss. From that day I have never made the pass, and travel by BEST by taking RS 25 ticket every day, which is worth.
so I would like to warn people those who travel by BEST with magic pass ,pls! keep your pass safe!!!!!!!!!!
