BE FRAGRANT (A POEM)
Be fragrant while you are alive,
Be more fragrant than ambrosial blooms;
The Lord has made flowers sweet
Because He wants you to emulate them
As the crown of His creations.
If you are fragrant-full in life,
When you depart, others will miss you,
Shed a tear or two when they recall
Your good deeds, your concern and love.
Witness the change you see
When you retire from service;
Friends who woke you up from sleep
To consult or ask for a Reference,
Making you believe in your importance
Drop you as a useless back number.
Your phone number is off their list
As not worth wasting a Rupee over.
I laughed when this happened to me,
Though there was an aching pain
In some part of my heart
Over human fickle mindedness.
I was a Lion and an elder to all,
A wise Sage always freely available.
Now except my family and friends on MS
None think I am of any value.
I have learnt something,
Well, have you from my experience??
