Last month Oct'08 Asian Paints had a Colour Week were you could buy one sampler and get 2 samplers free. The deal was you wont get it directly acros the counter, FIRST TRICK to discourage customers from taking free samples.
The dealer told me you need to send an SMS to a number then the company send me a cupon, which should be presented to get free samples.
I sent the SMS, I got a call from Asian Paints after a couple of days and was told that the cupon would reach me in 5 working days, I never received the cupon.
I knew this was some MARKETING GIMMICK, so I took the effort to write to customer care, who gave me a response that the cupon was courierd on 23rd Oct 08, with a docket # 6590819, but no reference of courier company.
I wrote them back enquiring about the courier company, on 2 occasions, but have not got any response, just proves that the courier was never sent and this was just a MARKETING GIMMICK to generate business.
So readers just be beware, as I waited for the free samplers and also kept my painter on hold to paint 2 of my walls at home for a week and a half. Once I realised I was been taken for a ride, I just bought the paint, not that I really cared about the free sampler, but thought ASIAN PAINTS was really helping customers make a wise decision in choosing the colours, but that was not the case.
