A group of friends…sitting on the so-called “katta” (that is the word we use in Marathi for a place where friends sit everyday and chatter)…and suddenly someone’s phone vibrates to show a new text message…he reads it and comes up “are ye wala suna kya???”…and then recites it to the gathering…and everyone bursts into laughter…
A usual scene now-a days…there were times when I used to receive all kinds of messages as in sentimental, dramatic, funny, serious i.e. all emotions…but in recent few months…or may be 2010…it’s a declared year of what we call as “panchat” ; “PJs” ; “FJs” ;”phate”…rarely I get those sentimental messages…and when I get them I call up the person to know if he’s alright...at the end of the day if I have received 20 messages…it’s for sure that 18 have to be stupid ones…and then the best of those stupids i.e. the most stupid is forwarded to all other people to spread the laughter… In between the lectures…i.e. if we get a break…we share the PJs within ourselves and declare the best of them as “Phata of the day”…
It’s not only in smses that’s there…in last year’s Medicon trip…all 11 of us use to come up with some or the other PJ…especially 1…shan’t mention the name here or I’ll be…let that be…as I was saying…we came up with so many of them that by the end of the trip…we got so irritated with the word “panchat” that we changed it to champat (which is equally pathetic I know but couldn’t help the exasperation on hearing the previous one)…
And the creators of this art…hats off man…humans are genius indeed…we can do anything we want… every time I draft something…I always discover some new area of our grey matter…and this time it’s PJ area…I never anticipated jokes on a crime series…that to CID…and almost 50 of them…plus relating all possible things to it…like the latest IPL…it’s so irrelevant…yet so hilarious and entertaining…no one does miss them…
Life’s becoming quite serious now a days…due to the pressures and problems…and so we try making it lighter with the jokes…a smile when peeps into heavy work, relaxes the tensions quite fast and straightens many things up…and this is what the PJs do…makes us smile…as what this one just did to me…
