It’s always a tendency that Indians to appreciate what they don’t have but never value what they do have with them. In India the grass is always greener on the other side.


This attitude especially comes to fore when it comes to travel. How many times have you gone on and on praising a foreign country you just visited but never talked about an Indian holiday. For some reason we all think that natural beauty can only be experienced in Europe, Australia or abroad. As for places in India, they can’t be that stunning, You’re absolutely wrong!


The problem is that most of us do not wish to truly explore India. For us domestic travel means either a trip to Goa, Kashmir or Rajasthan. And even here we limit ourselves. But traveling should ideally be about exploring, Therefore here’s something to help you plan out your next holiday.


Khajjiar


It is not ust like that this place is called the Switzerland of India! This hill station in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh is very close to Dalhousie and is surrounded by Deodar forests. It’s one of the few places in the country to host three different ecosystems- a lake, pastures and forests and all of them find place here.


Spiti Valley


Everyone go to Ladakh but not many go higher up to Spiti. It’s 12,500 feet above sea level and is surrounded by mountain ranges, alpine lands and soaring peaks.
