@hhyamb - 1) thanx for accepting that those myths r actually myths n da byk is butter smooth.....my motives as myth buster r fulfilled 2) u r right, in my town (raebareli: MP Sonia Gandhi) we have at max 10 avys n 2-3 might be the 220 one....but then wen i visit lucknow (where i work) ppl still tend... to inquire abt my byk.....I guess dats coz bajaj guys didnt advertize dis byk much (seperate ad for avy 220 is still to come) 3) Very very thannx for info regarding the skid, I will keep that in mind n avoid harsh braking (no pun intended)..... @parshvanath - I am humbled @akashwins - no humming sound after 1000 km, have it checked immediately @chelseabw - I am 6'1'' myself n da byk looks super sexy on me....go for itRead More

@KK - same feeling here bro - 1300 km gone by n still 'feeling like god' (u ought to give a review here man) @kkaruna - no i dont have to slouch, I give my bums a rest on the middle part of the seat (where the lower front seat goes up to meet the rear one) which, I guess, stops my body from slouch...ing @hiteshsadana - cant say abt cold wether (havent faced it yet on my avenger) but other than that battery works perfect. (as per my prior experiences on other byks). Moreover this time in av. 220 there is an added battery indicater which, i guess, is in no other byk so far. So u won't have to worry on the battery suddenly dying down. (I to hoped that bajaj might had provided a kick for avenger coz it would have given it a more retro look)Read More

@nitin_jo - I have not been out for a trip so long but a friend of mine says that he was was once out wid friends on p180 n karizma for 3 weeks on a biking tour n dey never had any probs from the push start, he says that now these bike makers use some sort of maintainance free battaries & the only w...ay they could malfunction is when, due to some severe accidental damage, the electrolyte of the battery leaks out. (I to hope that bajaj must have provided a kick for avenger coz it would have given it a more retro look) @cpun - If ur height is 5'7' then the bike is a 'must buy' for u.Read More

@cpun - u r v.v. tall man. just go n get a test drive &know for urself whether its gud for u or not. spare parts are easily available, even in small towns. avg after 1st servicing is 37-38. @bravevision - if handle is to heavy then its not normal, go & get it loosened (i got mine done on the day of... the purchase itself - its butter smooth n pretty light as well). Getting neutral would be a thing of practice which would be perfected by the passage of time. clutch should, in no circumstances, be far away from handle. there has to be a fixed distance, whether it be a cruiser bike or a racer one - immediately get it rectified from the bajaj people @sjohnbe - I stand corrected. Thanx for the info regarding the mudflap & the air pressure.Read More

@sundaramsrinath - performance - excellent compared to last avenger 200 due to complete change in gear box, so far only 2 bajaj byks with such excellent gear boxes p220 and avenger 220. milage - not known yet. top speed - havnt tested n am planin to go on a speed of 40-55 for 1st 500-700 km coz high... speeds deform da engine if u can stall ur buy for say a month den i can giv da complete review. this comment is due to ur urgent need -thank uRead More

bajaj avenger 220 is out n i am its 1st proud owner in UP (bought it 5 days bak) keep tab on this web site - i will give a review on it soon after 1st 500 km
