Hi, Some thoughts. Instead of running expensive large diameter pipes you could have opted for small diameter and thicker pipes saving money and heat loss. I run similar length pipe and manager it under 20k. I am not sure of the extra tank. Regarding de-scaling you will notice it on your kitch...en ware. If you suspect scales use lime water or better vinegar. The cheapest one bottle of vinegar should do the job. You may want to try it outside the tank first to make sure that it is not corrosive. To save the heater, if you are not using it, cover the glass tubes with some cloth before you go out for a few days. I doubt there will be so much water lost by evaporation. After all it is under boiling point and the only place it can escape through is the air vent.Read More
