QUote:'Did you read the agreement when you signed up for this site? It probably states that the amount would not be refunded and they would keep that as a credit balance for next purchase. ' If this is how they proceed, then, it is absolutely unethical!! It means that they expect you, as a result... of being unable to deliver the goods, to buy something else from them instead...meaning that it is compulsory for you to buy something else...You can't have your money back... It's just like you go to a shop with your money, and you are force to buy anything, you can't decide not to buy!! How do you call this.....?? In my country, there's no other word for it....This is cheating and total abuse of the client's rights!!! Don't tell me that you find this normal.... I'll tell you something else about them.. 1. Normally when you order something from any shop online, you should be getting an invoice in your inbox, with all the details of the transaction...From them, I didn't get this....... 2. In their proforma invoice that you can access online, you have incomplete information on this transaction. They mention only the cost price of the book, Rs 285....Not the shipping price which is an enormous amount....That's another sign of their dishonesty. I intend to write several articles on the subject in the days to come to be published both in Mauritius and India...The public needs to be warned about what to expect from people like this!! Regarding the articles to be published in India, I will concentrate on the newpapers of New Delhi, where they are located!!Read More

I'd like to know what you call a nominal shipping fee.... I bought a book costing Rs 295 and after calculation of the total cost including Shipping fee, it amounted to Rs 1245...I am located in Mauritius...Don't tell me this is normal...I've been used to purchasing online from various countries, inc...luding USA...But I've never known that shipping could be as high as this from India to Mauritius..... Then again, I will remark as well that this shipping fee is not included in the Invoice Proforma they let you access online...The information they have online about my order in incomplete...Another sign of bad practice... They don't even send you an invoice to your mailbox after you complete the transaction online....I am doing everything to start an police enquiry about this company very soon...It's not about my money...It's about ethic and morality.....This is something they will have to learn very soon!! Thieves should be in prison, no where else!!Read More

I will go this week with all documents pertaining to this transaction, but I fear the Card company won't be in position to do much since the money has already been transferred...It seems that these people from firstandsecond.com don't know what the word 'refund' means...They know how to cash your mo...ney, but they don't know how to refund..Never heard of this before...The very basic ethic in ecommerce is being totally disregarded..That's why ecommerce in India will always remain backward. Because of people like them..But I will not stop here...I have friends in the legal profession based in Delhi...I intend to sue them until they bleed!! I also have friends in the press profession...They will keep hearing of me in the next days to come!!Read More

You can also send letters to all majors newspapers in India telling of your experiences and concentrate on the press in Delhi because this is where the site is apparently based!!!

I am located in Mauritius, and I've been ordering articles online for several years, without any complaint whatsoever. I've never lost any money in doing this; I always get what I paid for.Or when I don't get it.I get refunded for it. This is absolutely not the case with www.firstandsecond.co...Read more
