I think a lot of people like you and me are waiting for Honda to come with a 250cc or 300cc bike

This is not a problem with the service alone, the quality itself is very poor. I am still surprised so many people just go by the looks alone. The maximum life for a Bajaj is very little after that every thing drops, the mileage, the performance, over all maintain will be very high and the resale va...lue comes down.Read More

I think you have made a great choice. Buying a Bajaj instead of Honda.

Pravin: I have been using Unicorn since 2005 April. I insist you give it only in authorized Honda service center. They have the correct equipment and professionals to help you.

Maintenance cost is very low, with my travel of 90 km a day, the changes I have done is brake pads and recently I changed handle bar bush which costed around 250Rs. My Average service cost will be 500Rs. This includes 100+ Rs for Nulon oil.
In terms of mileage, I have tested only once when I travel...ed 550KM. I used Shell Premium and I got 62KM to a litter. I was traveling 70 to 80 KM per hour and the bike had already done 5000+ KM. But on my daily commuting, were I travel 90+ an Hours, It should be around 45 to 50KM to a litter.
Every 10,000 KM I change all cables, Air filter and Front Break Pads along with full service, This will come to 1300Rs.Read More

How much did it cost for 32 liter fuel tank? Do you have any photo of the bike with the new tank? Any URL I can check?

Hond has slightly increased power from 3rd generation unicorn onwards. I have used 2005 model and currently I am using 2008 model. In 2008 model (the one with mag wheel) there is more power.
I will still say this bike is the smoothest of all 150cc available today.
Ride the bike for 2000KM and ...then you can change the mono shock settings from hard to medium or soft.
I have changed my setting to soft as I travel 80 to 90KM every day, the bike will be extremely smooth on high speeds. I have changed the setting soft as I always travel alone. Even though I have been covering 400 to 500KM a week since 2005, I still do not have any back pain or strain.
The older this bike get’s, the smother the engine will become.

Good Choice, This is one of the best bike available in 150 segment. Try to use Shell Premimum.

These points I mentioned was about old Pulsar, The new one is much worse. That is what I heard from few of my friends who has new Pulsar. Then you mentioned about 40,000 is the time to sell the bike, yes I agree, when people come to know about these issues think of the resale value you get for an ol...d Pulsar.

This is the most comfortable bike in this segment. You will not have back pain even after long rides.
There are three settings for this mono shock Hard, Medium and Soft.
Your current setting will be Hard, after 2000 KM you can change this to Medium.
If you travel alone most of the ...time, you can change this to soft.
Some of the parts will get lose within 1000KM, this may create some tweaked noise, inform the service center and they will correct this.

High Octane fuel is always good for any vehicle as the life of engine will be more.
This is because of the low carbon that is accumulated in the engine. Performance and Mileage is another advantage.

If you are really interested in pickup and your engine to last, use Speed 97 petrol. This is the only 97 octane petrol in India. I have been using this in my Unicorn and Bullet 350 for last three years. A litter will cost 70Rs in Bangalore.
