A very frank reviews, unlike the crazy 'FZ only rocks' mentality of certain people. Its such reviews that add credibility to mouthshut. You bought bike for specific purpose and use, and you are happy. That's exactly the buyer, one should be, and this reviews reflects it. Whether one has a FZ/GS/Hunk... etc etc. mindless praise only do them good, not you. Our aim is to use bike to benefit us, not worship it. Well written. Enjoy your beast buddy :)Read More

Some possible issues encountered at 4100 ODO : 1. At strong acceleration at higher revs (6K +) and at lower speeds, some wind slapping sound from engine. No Difference in performance though. Also this sound feels good, as no vibs or strain present. But still it seems odd to me. 2. The front ty...res could be more stickier. Might change to some softer tyres. The good side: 1. Slight tank mouth (cavity) rust traces is eliminated with WD40 use. 2. Suzuki engine quality with use, gets better and better. 3. After riding in a particularly bad road, helmet buckle is out, but bike still has ultra tight feel. Well built, should last long. 4. Driving any other bike in its bracket, this feels like elephant, but also very stable.Read More

Hey mate, The pain on throttle palm is something that I have experienced before 1st service. You have to get a thicker rubber grip (rs. 50 SC) to eliminate this pain. Also the handlebar height can be adjusted, if you feel its too high. Have driven GS for 3650 kms now and its getting better every t...ime. Turning radius and rpm characteristics take time, getting used to. Suspension set at default 3 is best for everyday use. Feel it has one of the most comfortable suspension setups in India, ideal for touring(I always do) and city use. Btw your profile states you are female...LoLRead More

A small update: I have taken a 160km ride alternatively on my GS and friends new Fazer (Its really an FZ16). Surprisingly i found GS to be better sort of tourer than the Fazer, which is meant to be a touring bike. i definitely feel, a good front fairing on the GS, with better lamps and backrest, w...ill make it ideal for an indian touring bike at affordable price. Am really surprised at how new Fazer can be so costly without any practical touring motor or equipment. An analog meter + compass is essential on Fazer or any touring specific bike. Also am unable to drive my old fazer or dio with confidence. Feel its because of the GS bike feel. Have now clocked 3600 odo. Many thanks.Read More

This rusting issue seems highly worrying. Having owned a GS with 3800 odo, the only rust I do have is at the tank mouth. Apart from rust, everything else stated as negative here is pure nonsense. The ergonomics is excellent, the shifter is very useful and precise. The console movement on bumps,... is an engineering design feature to minimize stress on fairing and console. The GS built quality is frankly rock solid. The above original poster seems to be the only person having found problem with the comfortable seating position. Gear ratios are ideal with excellent in-gear acceleration. Its takes time getting used to engine rpm characteristics.Read More

Hey IIyasmd, The negatives are negatives for you. I found them extremely useful. The gear shifter is very good. I do use toe shifter with shoes and heel shifter with sandals and rainy days. The problem you may face is whether the ergonomics is right for you. It may not be. I felt the gearing ...once used to, is very good and perfect and precise. 6th gear is never meant for streets. For pure low speed street use, i completely agree a FZ16 or a Hunk is much better here. Am not worried about mileage but its always 50+ at 90 kmph cruise, where it excels splendidly. Read More

I had brought GS some months back with having last clocked 3800 on ODO. My priorities were high speed comfort (NH travel), reliability and good overall features. Style was also important, but mileage around 50 was satisfactory for me. Digital/Analog console was not that important. Had owned a di...Read more
