Although Cormega was kicked out of the AZ, Nas, Nature and Foxy Brown group The Firm some time before the groups debut album, he joined Def Jam records and was working on his own never released debut album The Testament. Soon after, he was facing jail time on charges unknown to me and never rele...Read more

Before there was Like Water For Chocolate and after Resurrection, there was an album that melded both of these albums into a unique mixture that consisted of his introspective lyricism and his hard-edged battle rap's that he would soon drop up to the initial release of Like Water For Chocolate. ...Read more

Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is a classic. The Wu-Tang Clan will never make a album as good as that ever again. However, Iron Flag was extremely close to those standards. Their debut album was one of the rare albums where the skip button wouldn't need to be pressed once.

The commercials prophesized a simple message, ''The Wu Is Back.'' After Forever and the somewhat uneven, but fairly good The W, my best guess was that they fell off after Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The hunger soon left after the first group album and they never regained control over the Hi...Read more

After Ras Kass' debut album (Soul On Ice), I was expecting quite a bit from this talented artist. One of the few to mold the elements of the Bible, social consciousness and battle rap's into one unique mixture had me awaiting the release of Rasassination. Although Soul On Ice was lacking in the ...Read more

While Canibus' 1998 debut album Can-I-Bus? was flawed with weak production, his sophomore album made up for that with better production and beats. While both albums were flawed with some fairly bad production, the lyrics were some of the best I've ever heard which easily made up for these flaws....Read more

I used to write at another site. These reviews are some that I was going to submit before I left. If they a bit out of order that's due to the fact that they're over 8,000 characters and I to edit them down.

I'm not going to f-ck around and pretend I know everything there is to know about Asheru and Blue Black. All I know is that they made one of the best underground tracks with Truly Unique a few years back, and I initially forgot about them. Not finding any album that I would find listenable, with...Read more

Illmatic is an album that needs no introduction. Its beats, production, subject matter and lyrics created an album that was undeniably a classic. With that said, many Nas fans were expecting him to top that with the 1996 released It Was Written which was slightly commercial, but was the creation...Read more
