Writing a review on MouthShut.com is as easy as composing an email. Or maybe, easier. Just follow any of the following steps to write your review.
Option 1
- Select the Category under which the product is listed
- Begin typing the name of the product you wish to review
- Our Intelligent Search Feature will give you an option of products to choose from
- Only when you select the product you wish to review, will the 'Write Review' icon be visible
- Now proceed to write your review and help millions of consumers come to a prudent shopping decision
To use this option, please go to your Dashboard below your Profile Photo or click on the 'Write' button next to Reviews under Member's Panel.
Option 2
- Select the product category and the sub-category.
- Click on it and the brand names will appear. Click on the product name. Click on 'Write Your Own Review' and begin writing.
- When you have finished, click on the 'Submit Review' button. Your review will be featured on the homepage.

Are there any rules and regulations to follow?
There are no specific rules to follow. But we would like to give you a few tips.
When your review is well written, more readers will read and rate it. These few
tips will help you write a better quality review.
- Keep your review informative - it must be more than 150 words.
- The language must not be offensive or abusive.
- Your review must be honest and based on your experiences.
- Write well. Check your grammar and punctuation. This will help others easily understand
what you have written.
- You can write only one review on a product. But you can choose any number of products
to write about.

How can I modify a review that I've already written?
It is easy to change/edit/modify any part of a review that you have written. Log
in and go to your profile page - here, you will see a list of all the reviews you
have written. Click on the review that you wish to modify. When the review opens,
you can make your changes on the page by clicking on 'Edit your review'.
Once you are through, click on the 'Submit review' button at the
end of the review.

What if I can't find the brand I want to review?
If the product you wish to review is not listed, then use our MouthPad feature and
suggest the brand, product or service you want listed. We will soon list it, and
make it easy for you to share your experiences with the whole world.

How long does it take to post my review?
It happens immediately. As soon as you submit it, your review is posted. And now
everyone can read about your experiences. You can write on as many different products
as you like. There's no limit. But, remember you can write only one review on a
product.

How will I know if my reviews are read or rated?
It's exciting to know that people are reading what you've written. To check how many people have read what you've written, or how they have rated your review, go to your MouthShut.com Account. Click on 'Public Profile' and then click
on your review title. There you will find the list of people who have read and rated
your review.
