I have used several free web browsers on my desktop, Firefox being my favourite for the wide plethora of addons. Google Chrome is good for the speed of browsing it provides. For sheer novelty value, I tried out this new web browser called Maxthon. It looks like a cross between IE and Chrome in appearance and functions. However it has some cool features that appeals to the layman if not geeks. There is a snazzy customizable sidebar for quick browsing. It offers some catchy skins, that adds to the appearance. It has fairly exhaustive list of extensions a la Firefox, and comes with a built in download manager. To top it all, it does appear to be pretty fast, neck and neck with Chrome, maybe even faster. All in all, worthy a try, since its free
