3 IDIOTS or 3 MONKEYS:
Well, as a person grows, so does he progresses generally. But in today's times, a degeneration is taking place.
AAMIR KHAN(48): He promoted himself as a "perfectionist" and the gullible public bought that. And his track record was nothing but incredible. But then his downward trend began from his divorce, his other dalliances and now his movies - be it DHOBI GHAT(2011), TALAASH(2012) or the recent D3(2013). D3 must be the worst movie of his career. Why he did the movie has nothing to do with perfection. He had no release in 2010. Breaking records and entering cr+ club has left him broken. Shouldn't he pause and analyse his reputation vs his'decisions'? His credibility is at stake. Age, money and insecurity has set in. Will v watch his next movie PEEKAY? Not very difficult to answer.
SHAHRUKH KHAN(48): He is a deeply insecure guy. Rahul of yore cannot repeat the glory. Youth is well past and age is showing and action girls half his age must be acting on his nerves. On top of that, although his movies RA.ONE(2011) and DON2(2011) entered 100+ cr club, they were a losing proposition. JTHJ(2012) too entered 100+ cr club but its profits were eaten by Ajay Devgan's SON OF SARDAR. Ans SRK isn't friendly with anyone, forget Salman alone. CHENNAI EXPRESS(2013) was a desperate attempt to salvage his career. To continue setting records, in desperation, it was "buy 1, get 1 free" ticket. The movie was banal. It definitely had no value beyong the festive release. It was later trounced by D3. Phew! Let's see if his desperation continues with re-found friend Farah Khan's HAPPY NEW YEAR. But the slide is continuing unless he re-invents himself. Give him three nore years as hero. The younger set like Hrithik, Akhtar, Ranbir and Ranveer have also entered 100+ cr club and are a tough competition. SRK should pick up his act as it is a red herring now.
SALMAN KHAN(48): Well, his movies may not be the thinking man's stuff but were always entertaining. To top it, his charity organisation Being Human is rolling in green backs. He has done a lot for the people and it should be lauded. Of the three Khans, he always looks dapper and dasher. But his recent move to perform in UP Mahotsav has angered people when Muzaffarnagar riot victims are suffering. And his'donation' of Rs 25 lakh has stoked the already inflamed the feelings. He had temerity to question Kejriwal's intentions when he should question his own. Yes, JAI HO is releasing on January 24 and political patronage may increase its chances. But this calculated risk may well stop many poor to throng the cinema halls. They may ignore the cheap tickets too. They may not shell out their hard-earned money. Cuz Salman is not acting for aam aadmi although till now he has paid the lip service. His actions have shaken faith of even his ardent die-hard fans. He has much ground to cover up. You cannot play with the feelings of the people and still paint a rosy picture. Whatever it may be, I wonder if I've any enthusiasm left for the movie but I also wish him well(lip service).
MADHURI DIXIT(46): When heroes are way past their prime, what to say of a heroine. There is age for everybody and cinema being a visual medium, it shows the wrinkles even more. Photoshop too has its limitations. Her relaunch AAJA NACHLE(2007) tanked without a whimper. She did item numbers each in BOMBAY TALKIES(2013) and YJHD(2013). The less said about them, the better. And now she is again being re-launched with DEDH ISHQIYA! Ambition too has an age. She should stop kidding herself and take care of her home, husband and kids. No kidding here or being unappreciative. She must be investing heavily in these movies like Amitabh does in Abhishek's movies! Sadhna took a wise decision and one appreciates her old movies still. Will anyone do the same for these re-launched movies when women-oriented movies find fewer audience barring a few movies. If DI fails, she can bank on GULAAB GANG to re-launch her! Pitying her is an under-statement. She should consult a psychologist after seeing her miserable nautanki in UP opposite Salman. Disgusting and cheap!
