never look at the obvious but the subtle

why do we scour the mouthshut.com website when its obvious that iphone is the best phone to buy or its obvious that we are missing something if we dont wear such and such a branded dress and so on .

My point is in everything including life ,relationships ,job etc look for the subtle things . you will make fewer mistakes .

Coming back to the iphone issue : whats great about that phone? its got a great user interface and cool to look at . But you very well know its absolutely no value for money . Just compare even a sony p1i which has 3.2 megapixel camera ,all connectivities at half the price while this iphone with 2 mp , and doesnt even has a proper bluetooth .

Another example is this concept of 5 star hotels .Being a foodie I used to eat from roadside vendors to 5 star hotels at various cities in india . But frankly speaking whats so great about this 5 star food except for its snob value . As I wrote in my Renaissance hotel review its one of the few places I got a stomach upset and that too the food was absolute tasteless .Many 3 star hotels give much better food and service .

Seeing all this I started observing the sublities in other areas of life . My point was clear . Ignore the obvious and observe the subtlities . many people ask me why I keep company with people of "lower class" be it professionally or personally . Being a professional people expect me to keep company with doctors or engineers ,and being in 30 plus age group they expect me to keep company with 30 plus age group (the obvious being doctors have a value in society so I must keep their company , and 30 plus people are mature and well established so I should keep their company . ) . but the subtle point is that people of "lower class " have a broader outlook often ,less workaholics and see the person within you often . Similarly the 15-25 age group( ?generation Y or Z ) are much more honest about everything they feel and they have less of an ego to mix with anyone . And I value honesty and lack of ego .

Should I continue my philosophical rantings :) I dont know .....some random thoughts .....my first blog so thanks for reading . I will write again if I get positive comments .:; sorry will write irrespective of comments positive or negative
