I bought this Smiling beast just last Friday(26-02-2010). Let me tell what I wanted initially. I am college going guy so I needed a bike with mileage and looks(Also some speed!!!!). So I choose some 3 or 4 bikes of different companies. But I knew about Apache early so I thought other companies might have improved in anything new features. But I was not satisfied wit others. So I went to TVS apache 160 and bought this bike wit rear disc brake version black color.
Now I will tell about the cons first the gears are hard old age people cant even ride this with comfort gearing.. shocks are still harder(Really I am facing a problem) that's all I saw in the bike Now coming to the main part of the bike so called heart The 160 cc solid engine producing tremendous 15.2 BHP to rush u through the air... My true experience is reaching 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds. The engine revs like anything the TVS motors have come with a new muffler it roars like a lion traveling at high speed. The headlight is very bright. Ya the most interesting part is the dashboard. It comes with analog tachometer and digital speedometer, it also has two trip meters. Also it has a race lap timer to see your 0-60 timing. It also has a HI SPEED indicator.The brakes are really stable.
As they say more the weight more the speed. The bike weighs app 135 KGs. The other features are almost same as other bike.The bike creates big inferiority complex from others. If u want to know really well then test drive one now.
