despite of the tumor of hazel, she and Augustus Waters fell in love with each other. waters was also a cancer survivor and he knows that anything can happen with hazel still he love her and wanted to do all he can for hazel.
they went together to Amsterdam to meet the writer of "an imperial affliction" to know what happened to the characters of the novel after the novel is over. its beautiful to read two teenagers falling in love so deeply that one cannot explain in words.
