*The Somnath Temple** is the first Jyotirlinga among the shiva's 12 jyotirlinga. it is the important pilgrimage of hindu dharma and there believers. according to the some religious document the construction of the Temple is held by ADI Shankracharya before more than 2500 years ago.
But this temple is destroyed and reconstructed many times. arab ruler invaded and looted and destroyed by majorly seven times in medieval ages but then also it reconstructed the latest reconstruction(Jirnodwaar) was happened by sardar vallabh bhai patel in 1947.
The facility for reaching there is very good. you dont feel any discomfort in going there all are very good. The temple is opened for there devotee everyday from 6:00AM to 9:00PM and also three time rituals and aarti.
Though it has constructed many time but now it is mainly constructed in CHalukya style of construction architecture. and has long spire on the roof of temple.
My family visited the Temple I never saw such a religious environment in my life. and I forgot my all tension and feeling like I got nirvana from all work and duties. I forget whole world. the temple is so clean and large. I feel like I was meeting the God and I can see them and after become more religious and come closure to sanatan dharma can never forget that experience.
