Hi guys,

Quit complaining! Deccan is definitely value for money. It is not necessary for an airline to be your nanny-in-the-air. Deccan's check in is efficient and courteous. There are full cost airlines which treat you like a king when you travel business class and like dirt when you are waitlisted in economy (I have personally experienced both). After collecting all those mileage points, you don't get to redeem your points during "peak seasons" and in flights of your choice. At least with Deccan your benefits are real-time. Next come the hostesses. They may not be the hottest looking babes, but they are certainly a pleasant and happy lot. Their happiness makes for good interaction with passengers. You know the secret of their happiness. When you do not have the pressure of serving compulsory hot meals to 300 demanding passengers, you tend to be happy. What is better: an internally cursing hostess who serves you a hot meal or a relaxed hostess who sells you tea and cookies. What about the aircraft itself/ It is certainly cleaner than two of the full fare airlines I can think of. As far as the space between the seats goes, even the top airline of the country cheats on that. I have been traveling business class and now-a-days I find it has become very difficult to pass the aisle passenger if you are sitting in the window seat even in business class.

In summary, Deccan guys are like you and me- solid middle class, not pretending to be upper classes (as in other airlines) who tend to look down upon average joes like you and me. Thank you Capt Nair for starting an airline for the middle class by the middle class. We have had enough of the airlines telling us through video how to flush toilets, whereas their music system dates back to the seventies.
