1)I bought this when these were priced at 6799 and the next 2 TB drive was priced at 7500. So these were the lowest priced at the time other than the ADATA drive, which I was not so keen on.
2) There are a few advantages - Water resistant & Shockproof. These attributes make it really a good portable drive.
On using it, you realize the build quality is really solid. The read write speeds are around 110 MB/s which is decent for a 2TB USB 3 drive.
Make sure you connect to the USB 3 ports on the back of the(CPU) tower.
I had good read speeds but bad write speeds from the front USB 3 ports for some reason.
2 hangups I have with this is
1) The USB is a male - male connection. The cable that ships with it is really small. So I need a larger cable 3-4 feet at least. Problem is finding a Super speed Male - Male cable is really difficult, but you can get one off some other marketplace.
2) The cable wrap around idea is good but badly executed. the holders keep coming off and I am sure I will lose them soon.
Other than that, the drive is perfect. Its fast and works well. I would recommend it.
