Science city is one of its kind in india and it is Located in Em Bypass, in Kolkata, just beside the ITC Sonar Bangla Hotel. It was opened in the year 1997 and was considered as one of the milestone project in India. Jyoti basu, the then Chief Minister was instrumental for bringing in this project.
The uniqueness of Science city is that it was built on a land where once Kolkata Muncipal Corporation throw the garbage of entire city. To create such a beautiful thing in the heart of city is a real big thing.
