I think Daily Sakal is one of the cultured marathi newspapers in Maharashtra just like Maharashtra Times. It has got tremendous credibility. They have balanced news coverage. Layout is also good but needs some experiments. Apart from business they have very good social activities.
At present Sakal is published from Pune, Mumbai, Nasik, Kolhapur, Marathwada and now I think they should go for Nagpur and Jalgaon to cover Vidarbha. To attract youth towards marathi publication they have started Yuva Sakal which is also good move. Now Gomantak group of Goa is also under the banner of Sakal. I reccommend Daily Sakal as a marathi news paper very strongly.
