Although Palio is an excellent car and for me, it was love at first sight, the tactics employed by Fiat and its dealers are questionable, to say the least.
Fiat suddenly increased its price without any warning, even those who had booked the car before the hike had to shell out about Rs. 16 k. Although, this is perfectly legal, I feel it is unethical.
The dealers, atleast one Mumbai dealer, is forcing the customers to purchase cassette deck and auto locking from them, threatening that buying and installing from outside would mean ''tampering'' and would render the warranty null and void. This is wrong and can be challenged in a consumer court.
