Story:

The old man and the sea is a clear reflection of Hemingway's personal vision of victory and defeat in sporting, fishing or largely fighting in a war.its a novel dealing with the existential concern of an old man who met with a discouraging fate in his fishing for full eighty five days, in spite of his indefeatable courage, skill and comittment to the act of killing a big monstrous fish called marlin.in the deeper level it is not a tale of defeat rather it is a tale of extraordinary adventure of the protagonist the old man Santiago who could kill a great fish with great length and of great nature in spite of his continuous failure.
