Yup, Iv been using MTNL for the past 6 to 8 mths now and its pretty fastand also never disconnects!! I wonder how they do it (for a semi govt firm) In fact I have now given up VSNL and stick to MTNL. I ofcourse suppose that area also matters... Im at DK in Delhi. The other thing is that the connection is quite inexpensive - 525/- for 100 hrs. I only wish that they could be paid for , online, instead of going to the MTNL Haart and making cash payment.
