I purchased a Matrix sim for my last trip to Australia with free calls and 500 MB free data on the package. I was travelling to Australia to take an exam in Sydney.
Imagine my shock when a week after using the sim, I receive a bill for Rs. 38, 000/- from Matrix in the middle of my exam process!
There was no warning from matrix that I had exceeded the data at any point in time and I had only used the sim for checking email, so the data usage they claim is HIGHLY unlikely.
I ended up paying more than half the cost of my ticket for checking email, thanks to the Matrix scamsters! Not to mention the mental harassment of worrying about the bill while taking an exam in a foreign country. Customer service in response to my complaint has been disinterested. Use this sim only if you want to risk a large, unexplainable dent to your finances from unscrupulous operators.
