On the new year 2010, I went to Ooty from Bangalore. I talked to Sam regarding the resort and he assured me that he will block one. This resort is around 23 kms short of Ooty and mind it the place is excellent in terms of the location. Rest other things are really pathetic. I would highly recommend this to those people who want to stay hungry. I went there with my son and my wife.
My son enjoyed that place quite much as he was able to see ducks, wild hen, cows etc. But for me and my wife it was a bad experience. We ordered for lunch and it arrived after complete one hour and full of oil. The room that we took was stone house and really the facilities were of stone age only. The refrigerator was present but not in working condition. Hot water facility was there but hot water was not there. The room was very big but not clean. The charges were really very high for such kind of facilities.
In the night we ordered for dinner and it did arrived but nothing was covered and the crockery was all broken.
I asked the people in the resort to provide me milk in the morning 6 A.M. as my son drinks while sleeping. I went to check with them at 6:30 regarding the milk but nobody was there as the complete staff was complete drunk and snoozing Finally the milk came at 8:30.The other problem is that there is no intercom facility in the resort and you need to personally go to the kitchen to give order and then again to check with them because it could take 1 to 1:30 hrs for them to prepare the food.
I am not sure how the things are being managed but I would not recommend this to anyone else and would also not like to go again to that place.There is another guy Brian. He seems to be a good chap but I was not able to avail his services.
So friends please never go there.
