PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR CAR AT KHIVRAJ MOTORS SERVICE CENTER(any branch). I am not a Maruti Dealer who is trying to spoil KHIVRAJ MOTORS' image. I am a customer and my sole purpose is to alert people who care about their car and the investment they have put it to not give their car at KHIVRAJ SERVICE CENTER/BODY SHOP!
*Duration of the incident: 10th August 2015 - Till date*
Narration:
I gave my Blazing Red Swift VDi on 10th August 2015 for rear left fender, rear left door dent repair and rear bumper replacement.
Insurance guys dragged for 3 days to approve the claim and work started only on Thursday. By this time I was already frustrated by the false claim by the Khivraj representative **(Mr. Arun)** who stated that the vehicle will be ready by 12th August. I had also emphasised atleast 3-4 time to him and whomever checked my vehicle that day to handle it with atmost care and not spoil the plastics.
So after frequent follow-ups from my end **Mr. Prabhakar**(body shop supervisor) updated me that by 14th August all the work will be done and can be delivered by 3pm. Even after continuous request from him I refused to get the car interior and exterior cleaning done and only wanted under chassis because I know how your dealers clean a customer's car which is with the same old cloth thereby causing swirls and damaging the paint on the panels. I have given a strong feedback about'how to clean cars' to Cars India, kanchanchavadi branch as well, but still I dont see my words taken seriously.
*Anyways on 14th August, Friday I visited Khivraj to get my car and I was in utter shock to see how they maintained my car. It was full of white dust and finger prints(both foot and hand prints on the seat, dash, door plastic panels to name a few places) of the painter or worker who was involved in the tinkering and painting. It looked messed up beyond my imagination.*
Called the **Service center Manager(Mr. Ravi)** and escalated this to him and to the **Body shop Manager(Mr. Babu).** They said they will clean and give and asked me to wait in the customer lounge, I refused and stayed at the spot to see how they clean it.
Exterior was cleaned(not a clean job as expected) and then it was time to get the interiors cleaned.
Here is where KHIVRAJ made a very big blunder and it shows how careful they are while handling a customer's property:
There were about 3-4 people involved in the cleaning process so I couldn't concentrate on all of them. My major concern was the paintwork's finish and was watching the guy clean the white spots on the panels and plastics.
*Meanwhile the guy cleaning the interiors "sprayed water all over the dash with the KASS pressure sprayer bottle" and my Music system i.e, HU(HeadUnit) [Model and Make Pioneer 80PRS costing 23, 000/-] was soaked up with water. I had removed the faceplate of the HU while handing over my car. Immediately asked the guy cleaning the interiors to stop and called Prabhakar and Babu.*
Escalated the issue to Ravi and asked them to give it in writing that if any problems crop up in my HU within a month then Khivraj Motors is responsible and that repair or replacement cost should be borne by them. They wanted me to give the faceplate to check if the HU was working or not. I refused stating that because water has gone inside the SD card slot and elsewhere it may damage the unit further if we switch it on. But then realised that when the ignition is ON then the power to HU is already given. **But Prabhakar insisted to Ravi not to write and give and that nothing would have happened to the HU.*
Mr. Ravi was apologetic about what happened and gave it in writing on the invoice.
Well I apparently didn't have to wait for a week, problems cropped up the very next day.
*LIST OF PROBLEMS THAT MY CAR DIDN'T HAVE BEFORE I GAVE IT TO KHIVRAJ:*
Faceplate display isn't coming on in 1 out of 5 attempts. Intermittent issue.
Initially USB wasn't listed in the menu. It started working that night when I reached home.
CD player is making ejecting noise continuously. This is the only problem that persists as of today.
Remote lock not working and time resets to 12:00 when this happens. Also none of the lights(cabin and led strips) are switching on.
Panel that was painted had excess paint spots along the edges, hair, tiny stones and dust, finger prints, tool prints and was also distorted.
Fuel enclosure wasn't cleaned and had white dust.
*7. Front left door's plastic panel above the arm rest was purposely scratched by people at Khivraj with a sharp object.*
Went back to Khivraj on **Monday, 17th August** and informed them of all the above issues.
Long story short.
Escalated the issue to Maruti and got it touch with Mr. Manivelu Muthaih(Territory Manager Maruti) who inturn referred me to Mr. Dinakaran(GM Khivraj Motors) and Mr. Balaji Varadhan(VP Khivraj Motors).
I got confirmation from Autocop India Pvt. Limited(Pioneer Authorised Service Center) that the HU cannot be repaired unless the part is ordered and chances of HU working even after part replacement is very less.
At the current state Khivraj is only ready to compensate to a limit for 5k for the HU damage i.e they are telling me that they can only give 5k for the HU and remaining amount I have to put from my pocket and get a desirable HU I want.
*So basically none of these 4 people are ready to help so far:*

Mr. Balaji Varadhan(VP Khivraj Motors)
Mr. Dinakaran(GM Khivraj Motors)
Mr. Ravi(Service Manager Khivraj Motors - Perungudi Chennai)
PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY BY GIVING YOUR VEHICLE FOR SERVICE AT KHIVRAJ MOTORS EVEN IF ITS CLOSER TO YOUR RESIDENCE. GIVE IT AT Maruti Service Masters.
I thought the same and its has been 50 DAYS with no resolution.
